Ray Hayes, local resident and owner of Caputo Excavating, felt a tug at his heartstrings when he thought about families struggling to make ends meet. This year, he decided to make a difference. He visited Charlie and Amy, owners of Hobart Hardware Plus, and purchased several Christmas trees.

His request was simple yet profound: to give these trees to families who couldn’t afford one.

Among those who received a tree was a single mother and her six-year-old son, Jacob. Little Jacob was so grateful for the unexpected gift that he decided to create a special thank-you card for Ray.
